Happy Bee-Day Bumble
Year two has been huge for Bumble - and not just because we launched BumbleBFF at SXSW, partnered with Spotify to make your matches more harmonious, introduced Bumble Boost, or brought Bumble to Android.
And we're not just celebrating our second birthday because we're women with a tendency to over-celebrate (or because we want an excuse to pop champagne and eat cake for lunch). We're celebrating our second birthday because it marks an important milestone in a social movement: women making the first move.
Everyday (yes, everyday!) we receive emails with stories of how Bumble has changed our users' lives. Knowing that we've connected you with a best friend and/or soulmate -- the person you now know you can't live without -- is beyond rewarding. Knowing that we've changed the way you walk through life, given you the confidence and courage to make the first in your life is so indescribably powerful to every member of our team.
Bumble isn't just swiping to connect with new friends, dates or colleagues. Bumble is a social movement, a lifestyle, a state of mind aiming to change the way women view themselves, the world, and their place in it.
And so, our second birthday is a time of reflection upon and celebration of women making the first move. We are so grateful (and excited) for each and every one of our users who are a part of this lifestyle of kindness, positivity, respect and empowerment.
We cannot wait to see what the next year holds ... and the year after that ... and the year after that! These past two fun, wild, amazing years make us believe that what's in store is something even better.
